Caring for Creation
Castle United Reformed Church is committed to Caring for Creation. We are delighted to have recently completed the Eco Church Silver Award. After a brief pause to celebrate this wonderful achievement, we will be working towards Gold. The Eco Church awards focus on different aspects of the activity and commitment. We are work in partnership with the other churches in the Ipswich and East URC Pastorate to support and promote caring for creation. Twice each year we hold eco-themed worship as well as engaging in a wide variety of activities including “No-Mow May” and local “Litter-Picks”. Below you will find a variety of themed articles and resources including a link to the Eco Church Website.
Caring for Creation
Themed Worship
10:30 Sunday 25th October
The theme for our worship will be “Woven Together – God’s wonderful creation”. We sometimes imagine that humankind are distinct from the rest of creation and risk viewing creation as a commodity to be used or exploited for human benefit. This is not the Biblical view – we are part of the eco-system, dependent upon creation in so many ways.
